This page uses the T20 points card published by Dream11 at dream11.com/games/fantasy-cricket/how-to-play, read on 25 October 2026. It is the public card readers in India already compare contests against. An RS9 contest that prints a different integer on its own card uses that integer for the entry. The two cards are not the same document.
Batting
| Event | Points |
|---|---|
| Each run | 1 |
| Four, extra to the runs | 4 |
| Six, extra to the runs | 6 |
| Reaching 25, 50, 75, 100 | 4, 8, 12, 16 |
| Duck, batter, wicket-keeper, or all-rounder | -2. A bowler is not on this line |
Strike rate points apply only to players other than bowlers who face at least 10 balls. Above 170 is 6. From 150.01 to 170 is 4. From 130 to 150 is 2. From 60 to 70 is -2. From 50 to 59.99 is -4. Below 50 is -6. A rate of 150.00 is in the 130 to 150 band, so it is 2, not 4. A rate of 150.01 is 4. Nine balls, however fast, get no strike-rate points.
Bowling
| Event | Points |
|---|---|
| Dot ball, including a bye or leg-bye with no batter's run | 1 |
| Wicket, not a run-out | 30 |
| That wicket was bowled or lbw | 8 more |
| 3, 4, 5 wickets | 4, 8, 12 more |
| Maiden over | 12 |
Economy points need at least 2 overs. Below 5 runs an over is 6. From 5 to 5.99 is 4. From 6 to 7 is 2. From 10 to 11 is -2. From 11.01 to 12 is -4. Above 12 is -6. An economy of 4.99 is 6. An economy of 5.00 is 4, because 5.00 is inside 5 to 5.99, not below 5. One over for no runs is a maiden worth 12, and it does not also get an economy line.
Fielding, captain, starting XI
| Event | Points |
|---|---|
| Catch | 8 |
| Three-catch bonus, once | 4. Six catches are still 4 on this line, not 8 |
| Stumping | 12 |
| Run-out, only one fielder touched the ball | 12 to that fielder |
| Run-out, more than one touch | 6 each to the last two fielders |
| In the announced XI and actually starts | 4 |
| Impact, concussion, or X-Factor sub who plays | 4, plus the events |
| Captain | 2 times the player's points |
| Vice-captain | 1.5 times |
A name in the announced XI who does not take the field scores 0, including the 4. The player who replaces them gets the starting 4 if they start. A nominated substitute who never comes on scores 0 for the announcement. A substitute who is not a concussion, X-Factor, Impact, or full-time replacement scores 0 even for events on the field. A super over scores 0 for everyone.
28 runs, worked to 56
A batter faces 12 balls and scores 28, with 3 fours and 1 six, and is not out. Runs are 28. The fours add 3 × 4 = 12. The six adds 6. Reaching 25 adds 4. There is no 50. Strike rate is 28 / 12 × 100 = 233.33, which is above 170, so 6. The ball count is 12, so the 10-ball minimum is met, and the player is not a bowler.
28 + 12 + 6 + 4 + 6 = 56. As captain, 56 × 2 = 112. As vice-captain, 56 × 1.5 = 84. The 56 already includes the runs inside the fours and the six. Do not add the 4 and the 6 a second time as if they were extra runs.
Two overs, worked to 63
A bowler bowls a maiden (6 dots) and a second over of 8 runs that includes one bowled wicket and no other dot. Dots are 7, worth 7. The wicket is 30. Bowled adds 8. The maiden is 12. Economy is 8 runs in 2 overs, which is 4.00, so 6. There is no three-wicket bonus.
7 + 30 + 8 + 12 + 6 = 63. A run-out in that second over would have been 0 on the wicket line. Run-out points go to the fielders, not to the bowler, unless the bowler is one of the fielders who touched the ball under the run-out rule above.
A century is 116 on the milestone line, not 140
100 runs are 100 points. The century bonus is 16. The card's note says a century does not also take the 25, the 50, or the 75 bonus. 100 + 16 = 116 on that line. Adding 4 + 8 + 12 + 16 would invent 24 points the note removes. Fours and sixes are not named in that note, so their bonuses stay. A hundred off 60 balls has a strike rate of 166.67, which is the 150.01 to 170 band, worth 4 more, if the player is not a bowler.
Six catches are 52, not 56
Six catches are 6 × 8 = 48. The three-catch bonus is 4 once, including when the catch count is 6. 48 + 4 = 52. It is not 4 for catches 1 to 3 and another 4 for catches 4 to 6.
The 11-player credit example is on the picker page. The 20-over powerplay is on the IPL page. The install switch is on the install page.
A duck off 1 ball, and a duck off 10
A batter, wicket-keeper, or all-rounder who is out for 0 scores the duck line, which is −2. A bowler does not take that −2. Strike rate is separate, and it needs at least 10 balls.
Out for 0 off 1 ball: runs 0, duck −2, no strike-rate line because 1 is under 10. Total −2. As captain, −2 × 2 = −4. As vice-captain, −2 × 1.5 = −3.
Out for 0 off 10 balls, and the player is not a bowler: runs 0, duck −2, strike rate 0, which is below 50, so −6. Total −2 + −6 = −8. As captain, −16. As vice-captain, −12. Nine balls, however the dismissal looks, still have no strike-rate line. The duck, if it is a duck, is the only negative.
Six sixes in 9 balls
Suppose the 9 balls are 6 sixes and 3 dots, and the player is not a bowler and is not out. Runs are 36, so the run points are 36. The six bonus is 6 × 6 = 36. Reaching 25 adds 4. There is no 50. There is no strike-rate line, because 9 is under 10, even though 36 / 9 × 100 = 400 would have been above 170. Total 36 + 36 + 4 = 76. Adding a strike-rate 6 on top produces 82, and that 6 is not on the card for a 9-ball innings.
A hundred off 60 balls, with 8 fours and 4 sixes
Runs are 100, so the run points are 100. Eight fours add 8 × 4 = 32. Four sixes add 4 × 6 = 24. The century bonus is 16. The card does not also pay the 25, the 50, or the 75 on a hundred. Those three would have been 4 + 8 + 12 = 24, and they are withheld. Strike rate is 100 / 60 × 100 = 166.67, which sits in the 150.01 to 170 band, so 4, and only because the player is not a bowler and has faced at least 10 balls.
100 + 32 + 24 + 16 + 4 = 176. As captain, 176 × 2 = 352. As vice-captain, 176 × 1.5 = 264. The wrong milestone stack, 100 + 32 + 24 + 40 + 4, comes to 200. The 40 is 4 + 8 + 12 + 16. The card allows only the 16. The difference is 24 points, 48 for the captain.
The bowler worked earlier to 63 scores 63 × 2 = 126 as captain and 63 × 1.5 = 94.5 as vice-captain. A run-out in that spell stays off the bowler's wicket line. The fielder who was the only one to touch the ball scores 12. If two or more touched it, the last two score 6 each, and the bowler scores those 6 only when the bowler is one of those two.
The credit cap and the 6-plus-5 XI are on the picker page. The 20-over powerplay and the net-run-rate fraction 26/229 are on the IPL page.
Two boundaries on the strike-rate scale are easy to mis-file. A rate of 170.00 is 4, because the band runs through 170. A rate of 170.01 is 6. A rate of 150.00 is 2, and 150.01 is 4. Economy has the same kind of edge: 4.99 is 6 and 5.00 is 4, once the bowler has at least 2 overs. One over for no runs is 12 for the maiden and does not also take an economy award.
